"Furries" Worksop

A difficult one to categorise accurately as most, but not neccessarily all, of our subjects are furry, but then again, not all are anything other than photogenic and accessable.

Take a look at the example gallery for images from our recent visit - which coincided with a somewhat unfortunate turn in the weather, hence us not capturing all of the available species.

We did however cover Pine Marten, Muntjac Deer, Scottish Wild Cat, Fox, Otter, Harvest Mouse and Vole.

A normal tuition day may not cover all of these subjects as a group requires greater time with each subject and, we have found from other workshops, that to gain the absolute best images ongoing guidance and individual and group critique are essential.

There are also other vole species, Wild Boar, Marsh Frogs and limited raptors (subject to advance booking)

As all of our workshops,  we will concentrate on covering the animals properly, taking our time with each rather than rushing through in order to tick boxes on a list and not covering anything in a worthwhile manner.

Given the potential offered here, we are going to run both one and two day visits -  those opting for one day will gain some great images but obviously a two-day option will allow for greater coverage with more depth to each subject.

Dates and exact costings are being discussed but one full day (10am - 4pm) will cost c. £95,  Two days will cost £195 which initially will not seem logical but this will include a 10am - 7pm first day and a 10pm -4pm second day.

This will not only allow us to make the most of (hopefully) reasonable evening light but also gain the potential to photograph reisdent Beavers who are bicuspid.

Our venue is in mid-Devon, easily accessable from A30 and not an unreasonable distance from Dartmoor for a potential landscape day (or two).  It has been sympathetically designed with a view to photography and film-making and their handlers have an understanding of photographic requirements, so complete with our tuition and ongoing guidance you will gain some truly memorable and worthwhile 'wildlife' to add to your collection.

For those not solely interested in Wildlife we are looking to integrate this workshop with a landscapes day on my beloved Dartmoor at a nominal additional cost of £45pp or a higher fee (tba) if we book models for outdoor work.

We are in the midst of finding / negotiating a quality b&b package as this will not only allow for a greater comarderie to be built but also means that myself and Maxine will be available for further advice / critique / processing advice until 10pm or so -  as such offering greater value than any other UK based workshops as far as i am aware.

Please 'register' your interest in the above by dropping me an email or message via the site -  opportunities for the year will of course now be a little limited but we would hope to arrange 2-3 trips before winter arrives.
